INCLEMENT WEATHER/CLINIC CLOSING POLICY

At EJAL Health Services, your safety and well-being are our utmost priority. In the event of hazardous weather conditions such as snow, ice, or heavy rain, which could pose risks to driving conditions, the clinic will only close with official authorization from the state. We are committed to ensuring transparency and timely communication regarding any closures.

We will diligently update our website at least 24 hours in advance of any anticipated closures, unless unforeseen emergencies prevent us from doing so. We kindly request that you check our website for updates before contacting the clinic directly, as high call volumes may make it difficult to connect. Additionally, notifications will be sent via the Engage App, and we encourage all patients to sign up for this convenient communication platform.

Please ensure that your counselor has your current working telephone number, with voicemail set up, to facilitate effective communication in case of emergencies.

In the event of anticipated hazardous weather on the day of your scheduled clinic visit, it is your responsibility to attend the clinic on the preceding day during normal medicating hours. Please anticipate longer wait times, as we will be prioritizing dosing for all patients in preparation for the closure. It is essential to bring your lockbox on this day to receive your take-home doses.

For example, if your scheduled clinic day is Wednesday and significant snowfall is forecasted for Tuesday or early Wednesday, please refer to our website to confirm if the clinic will be closed on Wednesday. If closure is announced, it is imperative to visit the clinic on Tuesday for your medication.

Please note that due to the emergency dosing situation, patients receiving 13 or 27 take-home doses may only receive a maximum of 6 doses during clinic closure periods.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during these challenging circumstances. Please be advised that there will be no tripping or guest dosing to other clinics, as they will likely be experiencing similar challenges.

Thank you for entrusting EJAL Health Services with your care. We remain committed to providing safe and effective treatment, even in adverse weather conditions.
